✨ Mini Teaching Devotional: The Gifts of the Spirit & Artistic Gifts for God’s Glory ✨

### Scripture Foundation

“Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”

— *1 Corinthians 12:4–7 (KJV)*

### Teaching

God, in His wisdom, has given **every believer** gifts through the Holy Spirit. Some gifts are spiritual in nature—such as prophecy, wisdom, healing, and tongues (1 Corinthians 12:8–11). Others may take the form of **talents and skills** He has woven into us, like music, painting, writing, or design.

When surrendered to Christ, even our **artistic abilities** become a means of glorifying Him. The Bible reminds us that every gift has a purpose: *“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God”* (1 Corinthians 10:31 KJV).

In the Old Testament, God filled men like **Bezaleel** with the Spirit to create artistic works for the Tabernacle:

“And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass” (*Exodus 31:3–4 KJV*).

This shows that **art and creativity** are not secondary—they are Kingdom tools! When yielded to God, your artistic gift becomes a vessel for His glory, inspiring others, building up the church, and pointing hearts to Jesus.

* Am I using my artistic gifts for my own recognition or for God’s glory?

* How can I dedicate my creativity as an offering to the Lord?

* Am I open to the Holy Spirit’s leading in how I create and share my work?

### Application

1. **Dedicate Your Gift** – Pray over your artistic talents and ask God to sanctify them for His purposes.

2. **Create with Scripture** – Incorporate God’s Word into your art (painting verses, writing devotionals, composing music with biblical truth).

3. **Serve Others** – Use your gift to edify the body of Christ, encourage the weary, and witness to the lost.

4. **Stay Humble** – Remember, the gift is from God and for God.

### Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for filling me with Your Spirit and entrusting me with gifts to glorify You. Teach me to use both my spiritual and artistic gifts as offerings of worship. May my creativity reflect Your beauty, inspire others, and point every heart to Jesus Christ. Let everything I create echo the cry of my soul: “Thine is the glory, O LORD.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen.🌟
